BRIGHOOSE BRASS BAND BRIGADE 3 BAD BLUE BOYS 4 *** NORTHERN PREMYAA LEEGUE, NORTH WEST DIVISION

Dunston's 2nd goal (baall near post)

Posted '11:25am bells'
Tuesday 13th October 2020

Aa managed to cadge a lift on the Dunston team bus for this one, to a groond a'd never been tee before!

The most famous thing aboot Brighoose iz that in the 1970s The Brighoose and Rastik Brass Band got to number 1 in the charts with The Floral Dance!

And aa half expected that they would be there to greet us at the gates of the groond playin that auful tune when we got there!---Nee such bad luck, just a car park full of cars and vans!

The clubhoose woz of course wor forst 'port o caall' when we arrived and we were just grateful that it woz actually open at aall, due to the pandemic!

After a few 'liquid lubrications' we heeded for a standin place behind the nearest end to the clubhoose, where brass band music woz blarin from the loudspeakers! (But thankfully NOT 'The Floral Dance'!)---

But disaster struck aalmost immediately on the pitch, when 'The Brass Band Brigade' took the lead in the 2nd minute of the game at the far end from us!

The Bad Blue Boys then equalised a few minutes later through a penalty after Connor Bell waz fouled in the box for a penalty which woz taken by Terry Gilbraith---and he made nee misstayk from the spot!

It woz soon 2-1 to Dunston when Michael Hall latched on to a Gilbraith free kick to slot home!

By half time it woz 3-1 to the visitors when Gilbrath won a scramble in the box from a corner kick, to toe poke the baall just inside the post!--much to the delight of me and the dozen or so Dunston faithful who had made the 2 hour jorney to west Yorkshire!

The forst period of the 2nd half woz dour to say the least and after Dunston had hit the bar in the 70th minute, it seemed to rattle Brighoose into life and they pulled a goal back in the 72nd minute through  Keita who hit a great shot past Connell in the Dunston goal!

Then disaster upon disaster, they made it 3-3 just 2 minutes later when, wot looked like a scramble in the box at the far end from us (we'd  switched goal in the 2nd half) when Sorhaindo fired home, to loud cheers and applause from the majority of the 341 crowd!

Unfortunately anly the 1st goal wins the prize--NOT the 6th one!

It looked az though the home side would win it, but The Bad Blue Boys didnt give up and after a fine run into the box by 'mystery man' from the left flank (sorry I cant remember hiz name?) he crossed the baall for Connor Bell to shoot home in the 80th minute to send the Dunston contingent wild with delight!

It woz a norvy end az the home side pressed for anothaa equaliser, but The Bad Blue Boys (who played in aall grey!) held on to take the 3 points and extend their lead at the top of the table to 4 points!

THE MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR IZ WAITIN' TO TAKE YOO AWAY!

 Posted '5:00pm bells' Munday 12th October 2020

With nee Toon games to gan tee for the foreseeable future, a'v now got to get mee Saturday and new groonds 'fix' elsewhere!

I am off work today and so I am heedin for a new groond tooneet!

Watch this space tomorrow to see where aa went!

PROJECT BIG PICTURE CONSPIRACY THEORY'S AND AALL THAT!

Posted just after 'high noon bells'bells' Munday 12th October 2020

News that Moan U and The Liverbirds have been secretly taalkin to the Premyaa Leegue and EFL aboot havin more power to completly block any takeowers of any clubs ootside the so caalled 'big six' haz been reveeeled, in wot haz been dubbed 'PROJECT BIG PICTURE'

Bizarrely, they are sayin that in total 9 Premyaa Leegue clubs will have a say, includin' Sooothampton and 'The Jellied Eels Mob' of West Ham and will have total power ower the othaa 11 clubs AND the EFL

The othaa 11 include NUFC, az they say that we are NOT az big az Sooothampton, even though we have spent just 3 seasons ootside the top flight since The Premyaa Leegue woz formed in 1992!

This, they say, iz because Sooothampton and West Ham have had a langer continuous run in the top flight az us!----Anything to stop 'US' joinin' 'the club'! (ie: Make the rules up az they gan!)

Conspiracy theory's aboot wor failed takeower by the PIF now make more sense!  (ie: They dont want anybody else to join their 'exclusive club' that wins the Leegue and cups virtually every season!)

It will aall unravel of course, just like the PPV charge of nearly 15 quid to watch The Toon v Moan U next Saturday neet! (Yours truely will NOT pay it, and will watch on a dodgy website channel (allegedly!) instead! (Hope picture doesn't freeeze!?)

Much more to follow on aall this of course----az per usual

BAD BLUE BOYS 3 PRESCOT CABLES 2 *** NORTHERN PREMYAA LEEGUE, NORTH WEST DIVISION

 Posted '11:29am bells' Sunday 11th October 2020

A DUNSTON CORNER AT THE 'TEA HUT END'!

"A THREE-TWO THRILLER!"

Anothaa trip to Dunston's clubhoose, (possibly the last time for a while) where old friends were met, and we made the most off the last weekend before pubs are shut again next week by Boris!

After shovelling doon a few 'liquid lubrications' it woz time to heed for wor usual standing place opposite the 18 yard box!

The sequence of events on the pitch were az follows:

40th minute: Jack Elliott who had came on az sub ran doon the right to find Liam Thear who finished nicely at The Dunston Rocketless End (there used to be a tower block I  the distance which looked like a space rocket--long since demolished!)

HT 1-0 to The Bad Blue Boys!

James Edgar equalised for The Cables, which brought huge cheers from the 10 or so yellow clad diehards who had made the journey to the north east from Morseyside!

Then in the 74th minute the visitors took the lead through Matty Hamilton, and it looked likely that they would score more az they were on the front foot by this time!

But Dunston were having non of it an an equaliser followed straight after that goal when Michael Hall fired home from a corner at The Tea Hut End!

And then the icing on the cake when Elliott hit a pile driver past Allen in the Prescot goal with just 5mins left on the clock!

This proved to be the winner in this see saw game and the visitors from Liverpoool were unlucky not to get anything from the game!

FT 3-2 to The Bad Blue Boys who gan to first place I  the table!

Official attendance 198 (crowd limit 200!)

After the match we heeded to The Tudor Rose pub alang the road from the groond, where the bar staff were in a spooky mood!

WHITE SPIRITS ON SPECIAL OFFER!

"ARISE SIR BRENDAN!"

BRENDAN SALUTES TOON FANS AFTER HIZ WIN AT WEMBLEY

News that life long Toon fan Brendan Foster haz been given a knighthood in the Queen's borthday honours list haz reached The Geordie Times!

In 1974 Brendan won a race aroond the old Wembley track before the FA Cup final between NUFC and The Liverbirds!

He wore a black n white striped vest for the occasion!

I woz there, and this is the one and anly time I have seen him race!  Unfortunately, that's the anly thing in black n white stripes that won that day, as Liverpoool won 3-0 in the match that followed!

And then of course Brendan woz the founder of The Great North Run, the worlds biggest half marathon!

Beleeeve it or not, 'little old me' did the 3rd Great North Run in 1983--I did it in 2hrs 35mins!

SIR BRENDAN YESTERDAY, NEAR THE TYNE BRIDGE

Congratulations Sir Brendan from 'us' and aall NUFC fans!

PS: We are gettin wor Saturday fix' once again at Dunston, where The Bad Blue Boys are takin on Prescott Cables from Liverpoool in The North West Division of The Northern Premyaa Leegue at '3:00 bells' this afternooon! (Nee Toon games this week, due to Internationals)

Match report on that game sometime tomorrow!

THAT'S A BIT 'RICH', DISASTERS MASTERS!-----SO NOW WE MUST PAY £14.95 EXTRA TO WATCH GAMES WE ARE AALREADY PAYIN' FOR???

 Posted '6:00pm bells' Friday 9th October 2020

Richard Disasters, er! sorry, 'Masters', haz said that the government shud treat fans fairly and let us back into top flight groonds!

It's just a pity that he DIDN'T treat NUFC fans the same way when hiz delayin' tactics in the PIF takeower saga infuriated  fans and wor beloved? owner, 'The Fat Controller'---az well az the Saudis of course!

We now hear that there are plans to charge fans EXTRA to watch games on the telly----nee doubt approved by 'Disasters' and The Premyaa Leegue hierarchy!

And divvint forget, fans like 'little old me' are on the 10 year deal and NUFC are STILL takin' direct debits from me (and many othaa fans) for THIS season, when we aall naa that we are very unlikely to be let back in before March next year at the soonest!

Thats a disgrace and I for one will NOT under ANY circumstances pay extra to watch on Sky, BT or any othaa outlet!

And wor message to aall Toon fans iz: "DIVVINT PAY IT!"--

Instead I will (alledgedly!) tune in to a 'dodgy website channel'----and there are plenty of those!

Az pubs are aalmost certainly to be closed again next week, this iz the anly way to watch withoot payin 'through the nose'!

Disasters Masters (his new name!) iz a hypocrite of the highest order, and will dee ANYTHING to fill the black hole left because of empty stadiums!

Masters➡️🥶🔫⬅️This is a hair dryer---(Couldn't find a gun in emojis) (So a hair dryer will have to do!--so he will be fried alive instead!)

They had a way oot of course, they could have approved the takeower---AND the Saudis offered them a 'kings ransom' TV deal az well, which woz rejected by the Premyaa Leegue! (2 'disasters' of the highest order!)

The whole thing will unravel soon, which sorves them reet, if yoo ask us!

Az the old sayin ganz:

"WOT GANZ AROOND, COMES AROOND!"

Updated '11:00am bells' Saturday

We have just hord that 19 oot of the 20 Premyaa Leegue clubs voted in favour of the £14.95 charge!

Anly 'The Basil Brush Brigade' of Lestaa voted against it!

Shame on 'The Fat Controller' and the othaa 18 owners!

Well done the Lestaa owners, the anly ones who care aboot their fans!

"TOMMY ROBSON!--TOMMY!--TOMMY!--ROBSON!" RIP

TOMMY ROBSON POSES IN FRONT OF THE OLD LEAZES END!

We are sad to report that former Toon winger Tommy Robson haz passed away!---he woz 76 years old

Tommy woz one of my school boy heroes az I stood in the old Leazes End in the 1960s

He had hiz own song az well, like most players had in them days!

"Tommy Robson!---Tommy!---Tommy!--Robson!", The Leazes End would belt oot az he scored a goal!

If my memory sorves me correctly, he played in the number 11 shirt and scored quite a few goal and woz 2nd anly to the great Wyn Davies in the scorin charts in 1967 or 1968? (cannit remember exactly!)

RIP TOMMY!
