A 5 year contract haz been mentioned for the 22 year old Dutch International and he iz due to arrive in Geordieland on Munday for a medical!

This brings wor total 'spend' on defenders this year to £71 million with Kieran Trippier, Dan Burn and Matt Targett aalready on board!  Add on wor new goalie Nick Pope for £10 million and the total defensive 'wall' comes to £81 million so far! (The same az wot Moan U payed for Harry Maguire!)

More signings are in 'the offing' and a striker remains a top priority!

We will of course bring yoo any news on 'that'!   So az per usual, "Watch this space!"

'The NUFC mad-sad groundhoppers' have been to both Barnsley and Donny for competitive games, but anly for a friendly at Lincoln, where a certain Alan Shearer scored a penalty to win the game, many, many moons ago!

So Lincoln iz 'penciled in' for a definate groundhoppers away trip!

Dates and kick off times to be confirmed!

THE 'REEEL' NUFC FIXTURES FOR 2022-2023 ARE OOT!

Posted from 'high noon' ๐Ÿ”” bells', onwards, Thorzday 16th Joon 2022

*

*Here are the propaa fixtures for next season!

We just knew that the 'leaked' ones on Munday were fake, az reported in The Geordie Times!⇊⇊

Az published on Munday!

*NUFC start off with a home game against the newly promoted 'Friar Tuck Mob' from Nottingham, followed by a lang away trek to 'Ne Where Near' Brightin the followin week!

The 'Friar Tuck' game will take place az advertised on Saturday 6th August at '3:00 bells', az it hazzint been picked for live telly!

Aall othaa fixtures are subject to change and probably 50% to 60% of 'wors' will be moved for live telly or teams playin in Europe!

(Games for the rest of August and September will be picked for live telly on July 5th ---allegedly?)

Wot iz trueleee shockin' however, iz that NEE fixtures will be played between the 'so caalled' 'big six' in the last fixtures before the World Cup break, at the request of Gareth Soothgate and the FA! (Ing-er-land stand nee chance anyway!--- Hungary ranked 40 in the world won 4-0 against wor no hopers!)

In othaa words the Premyaa Leegue admit that we do indeed have a 'big six' and preferential treatment will be given to those clubs, against the 'pleb 14' includin' NUFC!---A cartel in othaa words!

NUFC DATES FOR YOUR DIARY!

Posted 'high noon bells' Tuesday 14th Joon 2022

FAKE NEWS?

Some Premyaa Leegue fixtures were allegedly leaked yesterday, givin' NUFC a home game v The Liverbirds for wor forst game and then away to Moan United a week later!

This happened last season, but when the fixtures came oot 'officially' they wornt in the same order!---ie: 'Fake news' (Az Donald Trump would say!)

*The 'alledged' fixture dates for August and September

*The NUFC official site haz nowt aboot this, so wait til Thorzday to find oot the truth!

Meeenwhile the club ARE sayin on their website that wor 'next game' will be against Benfica in Lisbon at the 'real' Stadium of Light, on the 26th of July!

WE are tryin to find oot if there are any more games abroad before this on the previous Saturday, but we suspect that Benfica, indeed, will be wor forst friendly game, due to the fixture overload of Nations Leegue games etc, which involves a few of wor players!    ie: they need a rest before the 2022-2023 season starts!

Anly 3 friendlies have been arranged so far---mebeez because of this? (Normally there are 5 or 6)

SO!---"Watch this space for any future developments!"

The Fairs Cup celebrations continued from the previous day (see below) when we paraded the coverted silverware aroond St James' Park.

One home made banner made oot of a tatty bed sheet and hand written in black paint summed it up: "IT'S WOR CUP!", the banner proclaimed!

Aa was somewhere in the Centre Paddock that day and it was a very special day for me for it was aalso mee 15th borthday!

It is STILL to this day the best borthday 'present' that a'v ever had!

FAIRS CUP WINNERS!---53rd ANNIVORSARY!---TODAY!

Posted 'high noon bells' Friday 11th Joon 2022

On this day 53 ago 'The Toon' won the old Inter Cities Fairs Cup in the Hungarian capital of Budapest by beatin' Ujpest Dozsa 3-2 on the day and 6-2 on aggregate, after wor
3-0 forst leg win a fortneet orlier .

I was still a schoolkid at the time and me and mee mate 'Billy the Skin' listened to the final on a crackly old valve radio in his bedroom of his muthaaz hoose as the game wasn't televised live.

It didn't look 'ower clever' by half time as we were two-nowt doon, but as the 2nd half started, Bobby Moncur vollied in to pull one back and Ujpest just collapsed after that.

Benny Arentoft got wor equaliser soon after  and then Alan Foggon got the winner from a rebounded shot off himsel? as the radio commentator screamed his heed off:"IT'S A GOAL!--IT'S A GOAL!", he shouted at the top of his voice, above the 'crattles' of the radio, and it was 'game ower' as the ref blew the final whistle soon after!

The bedroom floor nearly collapsed as we jumped up and doon on the creakin' floorboards in jubulation, as, (just like the radio commentator) WE shouted at the top of WOR VOICES as well!

We celebrated wor win by runnin' doon nearby Whickham Highway wavin' an NUFC flag and a huge 'Rangers' 'William of Orange banner' depictin' a gadgie wearin' a funny lookin' hat, ridin' a white horse, (would you believe!) which Billy had 'half inched' as a souviner from the policehut at 'The Leazes End', after we'd played and beaten Rangers in the Fairs Cup semi final @ St James Park in May!
(At the time we didn't have a clue aboot the 'significance ' of the sectarian nature of the banner---we were just schoolkids after aall!)

Some very puzzled motorists on the road nearly crashed their cars when they seen us!, but they 'didn't have a clue eetha' just wot we were dein', as we sang and danced and waved the huge banner! (which we could hardly lift as it was so heavy!)
"AAAHHH! BRILLIANT MEMORIES!"

*The price cap of £30 woz introduced in the 2016-2017 season, because clubs like Moan U and Chelski were chargin away fans a mooth waaterin £55 plus for cr*p seats in the corner of their groonds!

If it had went on this way, we would be payin' in excess of £90 to watch an away game now!
