"THEY WOZ WRANG---WE WOZ REET!"

Posted 'high noon bells' Munday 5th September 2022

In the aftermath of the VAR debacle on Saturday the referees association, The PGMOL haz EXCEPTED that the decision to disallow wor goal against Palliss woz WRANG!

However we WONT get the 2 points lost back and the result will stand!-----Even a blind man could 'see' that Joe Willock woz propelled in the back by a Palliss player into their goalie and the goal shud have stood!

Michael Salisbury the ref infact had GIVEN the goal, but VAR intervened and said there might be a foul by Willock on their goalie!---He went and stared at the monitor on The East Stand touchline and watched the incident ower and ower again for THREE MINUTES before changin' hiz mind and rulin the goal oot, much to the disgust of the Toon players and 50,000 Toon fans alike!

Mee message to Michael Salisbury and the VAR team iz simple!

THE TOON 0 THE PALLISS 0 *** PREMYAA LEEGUE 2022-2023

Posted 'high noon bells' Sunday 4th September 2022

The ref stares at the monitor and changes hiz mind!💩

"A TraVARsty of justice!"

Yet again a dodgy VAR decision haz gone against us---This time against Joe Willock who woz said to have fouled the Cristil Palliss goalie before the baall ended up in the back of the net at The Leazes End!

Joe woz pushed in the back by a Palliss defender and into the Palliss goalie, and so it woz a foul AGAINST HIM!

The ref had given the goal but VAR told him to review the incident on the pitch side monitor at the side of the pitch in front of The East Stand!  He looked at it for 2 minutes before owertornin hiz original decision and disallowed the goal---to disbelief from the Toon players and loud boos from the crowd!

We'd hit the post and bar durin the game and Isak had missed a good chance orly on, when he woz put straight through, but this woz the anly 'goal' and so it ended up nil-nil at the final whistle to uproar from the stands!

Livaapoool in midweek when Isak woz onside and scored, but the goal ruled oot because hiz shadow woz 'offside'----and then the 5 minutes stoppage time that torned into NINE to allow Livaapoool to score the winner!----Not to mention the blatent shirt pullin in the box at Wolves on Sean Longstaff last week and the disallowed goal from Callum Wilson at Brightin, when hiz high kick woz deemed to be dangerous, even though he woz nee where near a Brightin player when he 'scored'!---It just gans on!--and on!--and ON!

Conspiracy theories abound that neebody wants us to be successful, coz of the Saudi takeower!----- It f**kin' stinks to the high heavens!

Nowt much more to say really, but the next time we score and VAR gets involved, yoo can bet your bottom dollar that the decision will gan against us!

Attendance: 51,863 (Just 1,200 Palliss)

And this from a former referee!

THE TOON v THE PALLISS **** THIS AFTERNOOON!

Posted 'high noon bells' Saturday 3rd September 2022

THE MILBURN STAND FROM BARRACK ROAD

NUFC play a home game at last today after bein on the road at Brightin,  Tranmere, Wolves and Livaapoool in the last few weeks!

A welcome break from train strikes (Brightin), line closures (We had to pay £100 for a taxi from Crewe to Wolves!), cancelled trains because of a shortage of train crews (Livaapool)--- and 3 motorway closures (Tranmere), that we have endured in August by rail and road and we can anly hope that September and October are better months for us?

Cristil Pallis are wor visitors and hopefully we can boonce back from wor forst defeat of the season at Anfield, when we were robbed on Wedinzday! (See match report below!)

Shelvey, Wilson and Krafth are aall still missin' but there iz hope that Saint-Max and Bruno will play some part in the match!?

A full Geordie Times match report will appear here az usual sometime on Sunday---SO!---"WATCH THIS SPACE!"

MARRINER'S LIVERBIRDS 2 THE TOON 1 *** PREMYAA LEEGUE 2022-2023

Posted while waitin for the train on the way back from Liverpoool, Thorzday 1st September 2022

"WE WOZ ROBBED!"

8 MINUTES of stoppage time woz added at the end of the game after 5 minutes were shown by the 4th official!

Yes, Pope went doon injured for 1 minute 30 secs in stoppage time, so where did ref Marriner get the extra 3 minutes from???

Of course The Liverbirds scored in the 98th minute to break wor hearts!

It had aall started off so well when new boy Alexander the Great struck a fabulous shot into the top corner of the net in the 38th minute in front of the 3,000 travellin supporters in The Anfield Road End!

And in we went 1-0 up at half time!

At the start of the 2nd half, Klopp woz waitin for the official near the players tunnel, wavin hiz arms on a tantrum and obviously demandin' that they clamp doon on time wastin from us!---And sure enough Marriner the ref woz wavin at Nick Pope to hurry up takin a goal kick just after the restart!----Who's in charge? Marriner or Klopp? (An absolute disgrace that a ref can be intimidated and manipulated by a manager!)💩

Alexander made it 2-0 when he ran through their defence to hit a fine shot at The Kop End!---or so we thought!  A VAR check ruled that hiz SHADOW woz fractionally offside and the goal woz disallowed because of that!!!!

"Offside or not offside?---that iz the 'shadowy' question!

The lead lasted to the 61st minute when Firmino equalised

It woz then 'backs to the wall' az they went for the winner, but wor rearguard held firm!

Toon fans celebrate Alexander's 1st goal! (He scored 2 legitimate goals, don't forget!)

5 mins stoppage time woz added and heartbreak came in the 98th minute when Carvalho scored for the scousers with virtually the last kick of the game! (5 mins stoppage time remember!)

Attendance: 53,316 (3,000 p*ssed off Toon fans!)

PS: Deein this report in The North Western boozer in Lime Street station(Livaapoool) az wor train woz cancelled!

Will have to try and get the next train!--Success! 1 hour later!

THE LIVERBIRDS v THE TOON **** TOMORROW NEET

Posted from '1:00pm bells' onwards, Tuesday 30th August 2022

THE LAST TIME WE WERE THERE---LOST 3-1!-- DECEMBER 2021

For the thord time in a week we are on wor travels again, this time to mickeymouseland when we take on The Liverbirds at Anfield in an '8:00 bells' kick off for live telly!

The scousers had a very lucky 9-0 win at the weekend against Bournemoooth and we can anly hope that we can dee much better than them and get sommik at least!?

Wor 5 games unbeaten from the start of the season iz in jeopardy and with a few injuries in wor squad it won't be easy (It never iz at this place!)

NUFC havvint won there this century, so its aboot time we did!----but a draw iz probably the best we can hope for!👀

Aa forst went to Anfield in 1968 and we lost 2-1----since then av anly seen us win 3 times in those 54 years!----the last time in 1995, 27 years ago!

This really iz a jinx groond for us and the sooner this game iz oot the way the better!

Hopefully wor new record £62 million signing 'Alexander the Great' can play and that hiz work permit haz been sorted oot by then!? (He couldn't play at Wolves for that reason!)

A brief Geordie Times match (and booze!) report will appear here on Thorzday on the way back from Lime Street (Livaapool train station) on mee mobile telling bone---once again!

PS: Wor U21s are in action at Donny Rovers tooneet at '7:00 bells' in the EFL Trophy and we will bring the result az soon az we find oot--HERE!⬇⬇⬇

FT 0-0 ---lost 4-2 on pens for extra point

WOLVES WANABEEEZ 1 THE TOON 1 *** PREMYAA LEEGUE 2022-2023

Posted on the trains back from Wolverhampton on mee mobile telling bone, Sunday 28th August 2022 and updated on Munday

TOON IN WHITE AND GREEN 3RD STRIP

"MAXIMUM EFFORT FROM MAXI"

A  brilliant 90th minute piledriver volley from Saint Maximin (from a skyed clearance from a Wolves defender) from ootside the box, earned a well deserved point for NUFC to keep wor unbeaten run from the start of the season gannin! (5 games includin' Leegue Cup!)

With key players like Callum Wilson and Bruno missin through injury (and record signing Alexander ineligible  coz hiz work permit hadn't came through in time), we struggled in the forst half and went behind in the 38th minute from a fierce shot from Neves and went in 1-0 doon at the break!

We played better in 2nd period and despite havin most of the play(64%), shots (21)and corners(13), we couldn't find the back of the net!

We thought we'd lost it in the 80th minute when Wolves went 2-0 UP! BUT! sub Ryan Fraser woz fouled near the halfway line in front of the Toon fans and VAR rightly disallowed the goal to loud cheers from the 3,000 who had travelled doon from Tyneside and beyond!

And then the moment of the game in the 90th minute!  (See above!---SEE ABOVE!!!)

Attendance: 31,311 (3,000 Toon fans)

PS: Before the game we had loads of problems when wor train unexpectedly torminated at Crewe to leave us stranded! We had nee choice but to get 2 taxis to Wolverhampton, which cost an extra £200 between 8 of us!(£25 each!)

We had travelled the day before the match and stopped in Stockport

1: The Wellington, Stockport

2:Town Hall Tavern, Stockport

On arrival in Wolverhampton (by taxi of course!) we made for The Great Western boozer near the train station!

3: The Great Western, Wolverhampton
Nee away fans---but we sneaked in! "HA HA!"

After the match we caught a train to Manchester Piccadilly (aye they were actually runnin by this time!)

4: Piccadilly Tap, Manchester
(Running total from 3 away games: 14 drinkin dens!)
(Running total includin 41 drinkin dens in pre season trip to Austria: 55 drinkin dens)

*Another train to York and then another train to 'The Central' to complete another hectic away trip!

WOLVES WANABEEEZ V THE TOON *** TOMORROW AFTERNOOON!

Posted 'high noon bells' Saturday 27th August 2022

Made a rare excursion to Benton last neet to watch wor U21s play Derby U21s and I must have been a 'lucky charm' az we won 4-0 with 2 goals apiece from Dylan Stephenson and Kyle Crossley in front of 125 diehards, includin 8 Derby groundhoppers, who stood next to a 'Rams' flag behind the right hand goal from where we were standin near the halfway line!

This woz wor forst win of the season, so indeed I am a lucky charm! (Normally wor U21s play on a Munday, when I am workin--I don't work on Fridays) (PS: 'Blondie Alan the Morris Dancer', who gans to nearly aall U21s games, kept askin me who scored or had a shot----az I am not a regular at these games I struggle to put names to faces---and he knows this!---"The B*STARD!") ↓

Anyway! On to tomorrow's forst team game at Molineux----We set off for Wolves this afternooon, for an owerneet stay in Stockport, before travellin on to Wolves in the mornin (We cannit get there tomorrow on the train in time for the '2:00 bells' kick off!)

Wor new record signin 'Alexander the Great' will (hopefully?) be in the startin line up and yoo can guarantee that the team will be 'up for it' come '2:00 bells'!

Wor forst team iz unbeaten in wor forst 4 games (So I MUST BE a lucky charm!) and hopefully we can make it 5 in a row at the final whistle!

A Geordie Times brief match report will appear here az we travel back so expect plenty of misstayks az I will be deein it on mee mobile tellin bone az the train rocks on the tracks!

Team news will appear here an hour before kick off---so az per usual "Watch this space!"🠟
