NUFC PREMYAA LEEGUE FIXTURES 2021-2022

The fixtures are oot for the comin season and for once they have been kind to The NUFC mad-sad groundhoppers, az the anly groond we havvint been tee haz been pencilled in for February 2022, which iz Brentfaad away at their new stadium!

Hopefully aall will be back to normal by then and that nasty 'Bat out of hell' virus iz no more!

We start off with a home game v The Jellied Eels Mob on Aug 14th and then away to The Hazbeenz and Villans a week later!

It's Moan U at home on Boxin Day but the spanner in the works iz an away game at Sooothampton on New Year's Day!!!---Wor langest trip of the season!!!!

Of course, nearly aall wor games could be changed for live telly etc!

We end with an away game at The Bornley Hillbillies next May, which iz the anly game which iz 'cast in stone' for kick off time and date!

YORK! YORK! HERE WE COME? (HOPEFULLY!)

Az expected 'freedom day' haz been put back 4 weeks and will end on Munday July 19th (hoping against hope!)

Wot that meenz for wor 2 friendlies at York and Harrogate which are due to be played the day before, iz anybody's guess?

Surely they will move both games to 'freedom day', so that more fans can attend, az at present anly 2,000 or so will be let in to eethaa game, az it stands!  (25% capacity) and the dreaded 'home fans only' signs will be put up!  (The NUFC mad-sad groundhoppers live in hope!🙏)

And then tomorrow the Premyaa Leegue fixs come oot at '9:00am bells' and all Toon 👀eyes will be on the away date for Brentfaad, hopin that it will be late in the season, when we will definitely be able to gan! (providin' there are nee more 'variants'?)

The Geordie Times will of course publish the fixtures az soon az they come oot and news of any fixture changes in pre season----Az per usual "Watch this space!"

A CATCH 21-22 SEASON, SITUATION***IT'S THERE IN BLACK N WHITE!

 Updated 'high noon 🔔bells' Sunday 13th Joon

Grimsby Toon have been relegated from the Futbaall League last month and Notts Coonty failed to win promotion from the Conference via the play offs yesterday, when they lost 4-2 at Torquay. 

This meeenz that history will be made, az this will be the forst time since NUFC joined the Futbaall Leegue in the 1893-1894 season that we will be the ANLY team oot of the 92 Leegue teams to wear the famous black n white stripes in the 2021-22 season!

We awaited with baited breath az we watched on from Rosie's Bar, to see if Notts Coonty could claim their place back in the '92club', (which they lost in the 2018-19 season) 

Notts Coonty were founder members in 1888 and 1st played in black n white stripes in 1890. Grimsby joined in 1892 in the newly formed 2nd Division, but didn't play in black n white stripes til 1910 (AYE! we have done wor homework!)

PS: When the final 92 are conformed 'The Geordie Times' will dee a list into aall the club colours. Not suprizingly red shirts and blue shirts are the most popular colours to play in!

The NASA mission to the planet Mars haz seen some sensational pictures that have been sent back to Earth from the Perseverance Rover's onboard camera, to prove once and for aall, that there iz indeed 'LIFE ON MARS'!  

Not anly that, but this amazing picture of a Martian taken by the Rover, proves this theory!

THE MOMENT THE PERSEVERANCE ROVER FOOND LIFE ON MARS!

Az yoo can see, the Martian iz dressed in a Toon top AND can unbelievably can speak broken English and fluent Geordie az well!!!! The forst spoken words from the Martian were: "Take me to your leader!---Whey aye maan!"

The sensational news haz rocked the world from Antarctica to Australia and world leaders were quick to add their comments:

News that Portugal haz unexpectedly been put on the 'amber list', where people returning to the UK will have to gan into a 10 days lockdoon, will surely scupper NUFCs plan to gan there for pre season trainin and a possible friendly with Peterboro (who were aalso planning to gan there!)

Looks like they'll have to stay on home soil!---just like the rest of us!!!

"HOWWWAY BRENTFAAD!"

The biggest game of the week takes place later on today!---and a'm NOT taakin aboot the Champions Leegue final between Man City and Chelski in Porto----A'm taakin aboot the Championship playoff game between Brentfaad and Swanzee at Wembley!

This will be Brentfaad's TENTH attempt to win promotion via the play offs!---10th time lucky?

Aaall 'The NUFC mad-sad groundhoppers' will be rootin for red n white striped Brentfaad to win promotion to the big time, az this will be a new groond to visit next season and Swanzee's won't!

We will be watchin on from Rosie's Bar, which iz within hocklin distance of SJP!

And then tomorrow Lingkin (Lincoln), anothaa team who play in red n white stripes, will be tryin to win promotion to The Championship in the Leegue 1 play off final and we want THEM to win az well, coz they knocked the SMBs oot at the semi final stage! (They play Blackpoool in their final!)

PS: Despite 21,000 allowed into the FA Cup final, anly 12,000 will be allowed in today and just 10,000 tomorrow, despite desperate pleas from the clubs involved for an increased allocation!----This 'logic' beggars belief!

KEEPING UP WITH THE JONES'S!

JONES GIVES ENCOURAGEMENT TO CALLUM WILSON!

It's seems that wor heed coach haz taken aall the credit for keepin us up, yet before Graeme Jones came aboard, we were anly heedin for one place---THE CHAMPIONSHIP!

The futbaall woz dire and unbearable to watch on wor 💻laptops and 📺tellys az we were were labeled 🏷'The Untertainters'!

Since Jones's arrival we have picked up more points and scored more goals than we did before he came!

In hiz forst game at Evertin he woz bellowing oot instructions from the touchline,  while Brucey looked on disaprovingly with arms folded

He woz a breath of fresh air az we played some great stuff and beat the Morseysiders 2-0!

Hiz record iz thus: In the 18 games before hiz arrival we had 19 points from 20 games and had scored just 19 goals!

Since hiz arrival we have played 18 games and have amased 26 points and scored 27 goals, thanx mainly to Callum Wilson and Joe Willock in particular!

Anly once, when asked at a press conference haz Bruce acknowledged him, and haz taken aall the credit for wor revival!

Not anly that, but he haz yet again had a go at the battle weary fans and told us to eat 'humble pie'!

Jonesy haz impressed Gareth Southgate SO much, that he haz added him to hiz coaching squad for the forthcoming Euros!

Not one word of praise from Brucey!

Make nee misstayk,  Graeme Jones iz the man who kept us up! Givin' new meanin' to the phrase 'KEEPING UP WITH THE JONES'S!

We can anly hope and pray that a change of ownership (and management!) happens soon, or else it's the 'same old', 'same old story' next season again!
