YORK OR BUST FOR THE MAD-SAD GROUNDHOPPERS!!

Posted '8:32am bells' Sunday 18th July 2021  Updated 2:05pm bells

"IT WOZ EASIER TO GET FA CUP FINAL TICKETS!"

Az we speak some of  'The NUFC mad-sad groundhoppers' are heedin for York by train to attempt to gain entry to York City's brand new LNER STADIUM for wor friendly v York! (We are aalso sending a team to Harrogate for a friendly at the same time!)

Anly 2,000 York fans are allowed to attend due to covid restrictions, BUT, we have hatched a cunning plan to gain entry to the stadium!

It might or might not work, so look at this blog after the '2:00 bells' kick off to see photos of match OR the ootside of the stadium, if we fail to gain entry!

Honestly, it woz easier to get FA Cup final tickets than it iz to get a ticket for a pre season friendly against a non leegue club!!!

Az per usual "Watch this space!"๐Ÿ™

In July 1966 Ing'land won the World Cup----In June 1969 NUFC won the Inter Cities Fairs Cup---In July 1969 man landed on the Moon!

Since then, neethaa Ing'land or NUFC have won a major trophy!

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN *** ING'LAND v THE I-TIES *** EURO FINAL *** '8:00 BELLS' TOONEET

 Posted 'high noon๐Ÿ””bells' Sunday 11th July 2021

Photo taken from the High Level bridge

"A TABLE SIR!--THAT WILL BE £240--THANK YOU VERY MUCH!" ("YOU MUG!")

The Euros have reached fever pitch with greedy bar owners demanding an incredible £240 to book a table on the Toon quayside in between the Swing and High Level bridges!---and some mugs have been daft enough to pay it, to watch the Ing'land v Italy final on a big screen oot in the open!!!--so if it rains they will get soaked to the skin and pay £6 a pint in a paper thin plastic container! (I refuse to caall it a 'glass'!)                                                                          Then if Ing'land score they'll chuck their expensive booze ower each othaa!!!

The semi final v The Danes woz £240 for a table az well!

Personally, I will be watchin on from mee local non leegue club's clubhoose where its costs nowt to get in and haz a roof to protect yoo from the elements and the booze iz £3 a pint in a 'propaa' 'glass' glass!--and aa will definitely NOT chuck it ower somebody if we score tooneet!!!

AND THEN THERE WERE TWO!

Posted 'high noon ๐Ÿ””bells' Saturday 10th July 2021

NO GO FOR TOON FANS!

Harrogate have joined York in bannin' Toon fans from their groond on Sunday week!

Both games are at the same time ('2:00 ๐Ÿ””s') yet we cannit gan to eethaa!! (The 25 man forst team squad will split into two and send half to each game!) (thats 12 and a half!)

Anly Harrogate season ticket holders can gan and they must apply in person at their ticket office on Munday to get one!

However! We will play there again in October when wor U21s gan there in the Papa John's Trophy!

'The NUFC mad-sad groundhoppers' are still attempting to get into York's new groond next week, but we have been unsuccessful so far in gettin tickets!

(We have been to Harrogate before for a friendly a canny few years ago, so nee attempt to get tickets for that one have been made!)

We can anly hope that this 'trend' doesn't set a president for forthcomin away Premyaa Leegue games?

A 'BASKET CASE' STRIP!

 Posted '12:20 pm๐Ÿ””bells' Friday 9th July 2021

NUFC have just released their new home shirt and goalie shirt in front of a load of blue storage baskets!

The question iz? Where have aall the stripes gone?

Just ONE black stripe doon the middle looks horrendous, if yoo ask us!

A very appropriate photo shoot!---Whoever designed it must be 'A ๐Ÿงบbasket case'!

Footnote:

Basket case meaning: Someone or something regarded as not very good!

7 HEAVEN!

 Posted 'high noon๐Ÿ””bells' Thorsday 8th July 2021

GUESS WHO THEY SUPPORT!

KANE AND ABLE!

On the 7th day of the 7th month Ing-er-land progressed to the final of the Euros with a deserved 2-1 victory!

An OG equaliser after the Danes had taken the lead---and a dodgy penalty were decisive, when Harry Kane came to the rescue and scored a rebound after hiz pen woz parried away by Schmeichel-- straight to hiz feet and he said "thank you very much!" to win the game 2-1 in extra time

The NUFC coach Graeme Jones iz part of Southgate's backroom team!---Well done Graeme mate!

The final iz on Sunday neet and yours truly haz taken a days holiday on Munday, az I will be incapable of drivin that day--whatever the result v The I-ties!
